2025 New Year Greeting
Dear Northern California Chapter Members:
Happy New Year and thank you for being our member. “The Year of the Snake in 2025 symbolizes transformation, wisdom, and renewal. It represents the closure of old chapters and the beginning of new ones, embraces change and growth”.
In October 2023, the Northern California Chapter had a successful 60 th Anniversary Exhibition, Demonstration and Workshop at Hotel Kabuki. We were honored to have Senko Ikenobo for the Demonstration and Professor Manabu Noda for the Workshop. Thanks to the Chapter’s hardworking volunteers, we were able to accomplish this.
In October 2024, the chapter had Workshops by Prof. Dan Liu for 3 days. This was also well attended. In addition, we had the World Seminar in July/August 2024 and will have another one in March of this year.
It is important to have transformation, as time and the world continues to change. We do need to adapt to changes, have more growth for Ikenobo Ikebana. To accomplish this, we need to study to expand our knowledge and spread Ikenobo to others. We also need to participate in Community activities so that they will know who we are, not just flower arranging.
Thank you for your support through the years and hope you will continue to support Ikenobo. Please continue to support our chapter and help any way you can.
Please join us at our annual New Year Luncheon on February 23, 2025, at Basque Cultural Center
Sincerely,
Julie Misui Nakatani
Northern California Chapter President
